Simple Cartridge Replacement
Before installing a new cartridge, rinse or flush it with water until the water runs clear. Then remove the used cartridge, insert the new one into the filter housing, and reattach your shower filter. A brief dark or gray rinse at first can happen from loose carbon dust and is normal.
